Our weekly Platinum bootcamp started again this month; once a week our favourite Personal Trainer Rob Cooke puts us through a high intensity work out – healthy body, healthy mind!

The Restaurant Show

This month we were busy preparing to exhibit at the Restaurant Show at Hotelympia.  As always, this was a great event that included National Chef of the Year and Young Chef of the Year competitions.  We met existing and new clients and lots of hospitality professionals as well as #FriendsofPlatinum Brian Turner!

Giving Back


Our charity this month was Oxfam Emergency Appeal for Rohingya, which was chosen by Shu in team admin.

Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya people have crossed over to Bangladesh and are living in terrible conditions.  More than 70% of the refugees are without adequate shelter and half have no safe drinking water.

Shu’s family is from Bangladesh and so this cause is close to her heart.

The team at Platinum donated a total of £250 for the month of September, for more information on this fantastic charity take a look at The Oxfam website www.oxfam.org.uk


Jo Beck from team Chef celebrated his birthday this month, he spent time in Latvia, celebrating with his wife and young son. Dee our Admin Manager also had a birthday this month, we were all grateful for the cakes and treats she brought in for us!

Employee of the Month

Each month we look to celebrate someone within the Platinum family who has excelled in their role, this is open to anyone within the team from Junior to Senior Recruiters, Management, Admin or Accounts.

This month’s winner was Gavin Loveless who heads up our Chef team.  Gavin won this award due to his consistently positive outlook and disposition and because of his efforts in motivating and supporting his team.

The Independent Hotel Show

The Platinum team will be exhibiting at The Independent Hotel Show at Olympia is 17th and 18th October at Olympia, London.
