This month has been one of the busiest months we’ve ever had, our Hospitality Recruitment team placed 1338 candidates in roles nationwide in July!
We are also very are excited to announce the launch of our new website! The site has been several months in the planning and we are really proud to show you the finished product. 10th Year of the Cateys Awards
Since their launch in 2007, the Hotel Cateys have celebrated the most successful hotels, hoteliers and hotel employees across the UK. The awards were announced this month and we were delighted to congratulate our client and #FriendofPlatinum Andrew Foulkes of the Abbey Hotel in Bath, who won 2017 Cateys Manager of the Year. July’s charity was chosen by Mark Sinclair and is Amelia’s Rainbow. Amelia’s Rainbow supports children in Dorset and the surrounding area who are suffering from terminal, life-limiting and serious chronic illnesses. Their aim is to create an environment full of fun, laughter, achievement and memories; providing funds for activities and play which will enrich the lives of children who are suffering. Lots of birthdays this month! Victoria celebrated her birthday before heading to France to spend a relaxing with her family and Karen celebrated her birthday in Malaga! Paul was camping in sunny Cornwall with his family when he celebrated his birthday and Gavin enjoyed a sunny birthday in Portugal.
Employee of the Month
Each month we look to celebrate someone within the Platinum family who has excelled in their role, this is open to anyone within the Hospitality Recruitment team from Junior to Senior Recruiters, Management, Admin or Accounts.
We are delighted to announce that July’s employee of the month is Rebecca Dibben.
Rebecca’s colleagues felt that she deserved the award because she is such a positive influence on the team and has managed a consistent team of temps while also having her most successful month to date.

The Restaurant Show 2017
The Restaurant Show at Olympia is just over 3 months away. We have a lot of fun exhibiting at the show and genuinely love meeting existing and new clients. This year we have a fantastic prize up for grabs in our draw; a gift voucher for a taster menu for two at Paul Foster’s Salt Restaurant in Warwickshire. Paul has achieved 3 rosettes and has appeared on Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen. Paul’s dream of opening Salt, his own fine dining restaurant was achieved via a Kickstarter campaign that has generated in excess of £100,000.
