Head Chef – Dorset – Venue – £35,000
Platinum Recruitment’s Local Division is currently representing a Venue in Dorset and have a fantastic opportunity for a Head Chef to join their team.
Our client is currently recruiting for a Head Chef who possess excellent organisational skills and has experience of managing and motivating a kitchen team.
The role is based in Dorset.
Candidates must have experience in:
*High Volume Banqueting (400 – 500 minimum and conferences of up to 1000 covers)
*Cafe and retail food production
*Creating menus, food specifications and managing standards
*Ordering, managing and stock rotation
*Managing Food Hygiene and Health and Safety
*Budgeting and managing food cost
*Developing and motivating a team
A passion for great food and customer service, innovative thinking and a desire to continually develop are essential. The role will work with the client in developing options for their event.
This is an exciting role which involves the planning logistics of events, that can include banqueting for over 1000 guests or the provision of hospitality for conference delegates.
Menu creation, managing supplier orders, stock and compliance with food safety policies are all part of the accountabilities of this busy and challenging role.
Full time, 37 hours per week, Permanent Contract.
Salary is £35,000 per annum
Hours of work will be any 5 days out of 7. The post requires a flexible approach to hours of work and to be generally available to work at any time, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
