Our client is a modern hotel near the vibrant South Bank area of South East London. Part of a worldwide group of hotels, this property is a busy operation offering a main restaurant, all day dining in the bar area, room service, VIP lounge as well as F&B facilities for up to 700.
The hotel has a lot of history which they’ve tried to incorporate in their décor.
What’s involved?
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will support the kitchen team of 21 chefs in preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard and in a timely manner for a variety of food outlets; mostly using fresh, locally sourced produce. The hotel caters for an average of 250-350 at breakfast and 100-200 covers from the all-day dining menu. Brunch is particularly popular here at weekends, which can see over 100 covers per day. In addition to the main restaurant and bar, there is a room service menu running as well as a menu in the VIP lounge area.
You will be passionate about offering good food and service, and will have previous fine dining experience. You should also be flexible to work on different sections in the kitchen. In return, you will be given ongoing training and support to assist in the development of your career.
