What’s involved?

As Reception Manager your duties will include but not limited to:

• Maintain operational standards throughout reception
• Cover nights in the absence of the Night Manager when on holiday or due to sickness
• Handling of complaints or queries in an efficient and professional manner
• Maximise on the profitability of the department, achieving budgeted revenues through training staff to up sell on every opportunity and controlling departmental expenses including wages
• Carry out performance reviews
• Ensuring good communication lines are maintained with all departments
• Cover Duty Manager shifts as and when required

As a successful Reception Manager you will have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a hotel Receptionist with knowledge of the corporate and leisure markets and ideally from a 4 star hotel background. Previous supervisory or leadership experience would be advantageous plus proficient with Opera PMS and must be flexible to cover shifts as well as some nights if required.
