Platinum Recruitment is working with a well-established residential home and we have an exciting new vacancy for a Head chef based in Wantage.

They are looking for a new chef who can create menus that provide freshly prepared meals that are healthy and nutritious.

The rate of pay/Salary: £27,040 to £31,200

What’s involved?

• You’ll cook for up to 50 residents, the home will have 70 at full capacity.
• You’ll be working with a team consisting of another Sous Chef, and a kitchen assistant.
• This is a full-time position of 40 hours over 4 days, but timings and contracts can be flexible.

The Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate will be able to show management, training, and menu writing experience.
• Knowledge of IDDSI is advantageous, as you’ll need to ensure that care/support plans are followed according to each individual’s nutritional needs.
• Be willing to get a DBS Certificate
• Have Food Hygiene and Food Allergen Certificates
